The Learjet 60 was the first model produced after Bombardier Aerospace purchased the Learjet Corporation in 1990. It was also the final Learjet model to be based on the original Learjet 23 design based on the Swiss FFA P-16 fighter prototype. Production ran from 1991 until 2012.
The LJ60 debuted as a spin-off of the Learjet 55. It offered a 43-inch bigger cabin, a larger galley, and extensive wing modifications to reduce drag and improve handling. Rather than the usual single ventral fin, the LJ60 was outfitted with a pair of delta fins for better stability and stall characteristics.
Unlike previous Learjets, the LJ60 is powered by Pratt & Whitney Canada engines rather than Honeywell or General Electric. The two PWC305A turbofans produce 4,600 lbf each and support a top speed of 457 knots. The LJ60’s max range is 2,409 nautical miles, and it has an altitude ceiling of 51,000 feet.
This stunning Limited-Edition Learjet 60 Large Mahogany Model is handcrafted from the finest mahogany wood. The high-quality design captures every detail of the LJ60. Your model includes a detachable wood display stand and arrives securely packaged in a foam-fitted shipping box. It is a great gift for any pilot or aviation enthusiast.
